Tamtang Foundation Partners with Engage Thailand to Fundraise for Polling Project on Abortion in Thailand

Thailand-based Tamtang Foundation, in collaboration with Lake Research Partners, joins forces with Engage Thailand to fundraise from supporters in the US to fund a nationwide project surveying public understanding and attitudes toward abortion in Thailand. For over 13 years, Tamtang Foundation—a grassroots orhanization led by women with abortion experiences and LBI+ individuals—has been at the forefront of advocating for safe abortion rights and expanding access to services across Thailand. They also do the life-saving work of providing non-judgmental abortion counseling and referrals.

According to Tamtang, “there has never been a comprehensive, nationwide study on Thai citizens’ attitudes toward abortion,” despite the role public opinion plays in shaping reproductive rights policy. The project "Voices for Choice: Understanding Thai Public Opinion on Abortion Rights Through Polling" will be the first of its kind and will provide foundational evidence for Tamtang’s future advocacy campaigns.
